Customs & Import tax
TyttShoe proudly ships orders to customers worldwide. This policy is designed to provide clear and important information regarding potential customs charges, import duties, and taxes that may apply to international orders.
1. Understanding Customs Charges
When you place an order from outside the country where our warehouse is located (currently [Your Country, e.g., China]), your package is an international shipment. Local customs authorities in your country may impose:
Import Duties: Taxes on imported goods.
Value-Added Tax (VAT) / Goods and Services Tax (GST): Consumption taxes applied in many countries.
Customs Clearance Fees: Administrative fees charged by the carrier or customs broker.
These charges are decreed by your local government and are the responsibility of the recipient (you, the customer).
2. TyttShoe's Role & Responsibility
We Do Not Control or Collect These Fees: TyttShoe is not the seller of record for international shipments. We do not collect these fees at checkout, nor can we predict or estimate what they will be.
Accurate Documentation: We are legally required to declare the accurate commercial value of all items on international shipping documentation and cannot underdeclare values or mark items as "gifts" to avoid fees.
No Liability for Delays or Seizures: We are not liable for any delays in delivery caused by customs inspections, nor for any packages seized, held, or rejected by customs authorities due to non-payment of applicable fees.
3. Product Pricing & These Charges
All prices displayed on www.tyttshoe.top are exclusive of any potential customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, or brokerage fees. These are separate charges that are payable directly to your local customs authority or the delivering carrier upon arrival of the package in your country.
4. What You Can Do as a Customer
We strongly advise you to:
Research Before You Order: Contact your local customs office or tax authority to understand the specific import regulations, thresholds, and approximate tax rates for footwear/online purchases in your country.
Be Prepared for Payment: The delivering carrier (e.g., DHL, FedEx, UPS, or your national postal service) may contact you to collect these fees before releasing your package. Payment is required to receive your order.
Use a Reliable Shipping Address: Ensure the shipping address is correct and someone is available to accept the package and settle any charges if required.
5. Returns and Refunds Involving Customs Fees
Please note: If you return an international order, the original customs duties and taxes you paid may be recoverable. However, you must contact your local customs authority to initiate this refund process. TyttShoe cannot refund any customs fees you have paid, as these were paid directly to your government or carrier.
6. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in international trade regulations or our business operations. The latest version will always be available on this page.
We want your international shopping experience with TyttShoe to be transparent and enjoyable. Understanding these potential fees upfront helps ensure there are no surprises when your unique shoes arrive.
